American artist Ruth Asawa found success in a variety of mediums but is most known for her work as a sculptor. Her loose wire, suspended sculptures were a departure from more traditional solid, rigid works produced at the time. The use of industrial materials and their transformation into transparent, undulating silhouettes are truly incredible.
